Stabbing at Henrietta WegmansHenrietta, N.Y.- A woman was stabbed at the Wegmans on Calkins Road around 9:15 Tuesday night.
Ha ha ha! A 17 year old girl stabbed in the face and eye by her 18 year-old boyfriend, and we need to joke about how liberals would drag Sarah Palin into it. Man, that's a hoot! Better check the party registration on the two guys who risked their lives to save her. Idiot.
No more idiotic than blaming Palin and conservative spokesmen for Tucson, and far less contemptible.
Far more contemptible, because Tucson was an assassination attempt. Politics of one form or another were involved, clearly. We can argue about whose politics, but the shooter had an agenda, so it becomes a political discussion. In Henrietta, a private citizen was brutally attacked. It was an obviously disturbed boyfriend attacking his girlfriend, not a Congresswoman. The families of the people involved do not deserve to have their tragedy exploited for you to make a petty political point. That the difference is not obvious to you is just an indication of how despicably low you will sink to make a political point, and how disgusting and worthy of contempt your effort is. I can tell from the post that you don't have any class, but don't you have any shame?
And Palin had as much to do with the Henrietta stabbing as with the Tucson shooting.
Yes, you've made the same point twice, so it's clear that your position is that since someone, somewhere said something bad about Sarah Palin, that gives you the right to politicize the stabbing of a young woman in Henrietta or anywhere else. I'll look forward to you linking completely non-political events to your hero, Mrs. Palin, because your hurt feelings trump normal human decency. I thought this blog was better than that, but I learned a lesson today.
Now,boys. This bickering must stop. Lucy and I love you both.
I am new to this blog. At first I wasn't sure whether Steve Zodiac was serious or not. That is how ridiculous blaming Sara Palin for Tuscon was. Is this the same Rottenchester from the Fighting 29th blog? There is still a 29th cd. I get the idea he only cared about the 29th when a democrat was in office.
Hey, Anonymous, I kept that blog going for 2 years while Kuhl was in office, so why don't you get your facts straight before you go running your keyboard. It's not interesting anymore, at least to me, because the 29th district is going away in 2012, not because a R or a D has the seat. I have to see what district I live in after redistricting before I decide whether I'm going to blog anymore. If it is a 80/20 Democratic district like Louise Slaughter's, I won't write about it because that's just as boring as an 80/20 Republican district.
We have some overboard going on in both directions. Sure the incident at Wegmans was not political in nature. I think if the results of the stabbing had been more serious it would not have been used as a political prop by Zodiac. However pointing out absurdity by being absurd is a common politcal tactic. Surly the political advantage the democrats tried to spin over Tuscon was wrong and it backfired on them.Rottenchester will gladly point to whatever he thinks helps a democrat and do a pretty good job of spinning and overblowing like he has done here.
Let me also defend our pal Rottenchester about the Fighting 29th. He's consistently had the best information about the district, and although he clearly has a point of view, has always been remarkably objective and even-handed in reporting what's going on. After Massa flamed out and Reed seemed like a lock for election, I agree with Rotters that the amount of relevant information of interest became pretty thin. Nevertheless, he reported it to us, such as when it looked like Reed could have a primary challenger.Rottenchester, you're too good at this to leave your pen idle. If you think material has dried up for Fighting 29th, why not do another blog?
So, Earl, an eye-stabbing is still a good joke? Got it.
No worse than scoring political points from a congresswoman shot through the head and the killing of a federal judge!
