Monroe County Legislator Anthony Daniele (R - Pittsford, East Rochester, Brighton) has been elected Majority Leader of the Monroe County Legislature.
He replaces outgoing Majority Leader Dan Quatro, who stepped down as leader after four years.

Couldn't help noticing that early this morning the D&C replaced its earlier online story with a new one that left out Daniele's photograph.
They must not much like having an appealingly photogenic Republican leader.
The print edition carried a washed-out version of the picture.
Normally I wouldn't draw any connections to motives, but remember that when Daniele first ran for office, in 2007, he was the victim of one of the D&C's most notorious partisan dirty tricks in memory.
